Minimization of Wheel Mass Using Finite Element Method
Report on an analysis I performed of a wheel geometry used on various flying coasters.
The report considers various potential modifications to existing wheel geometry to
minimize weight while maintaining a reasonable factor of safety. Various adaptive
meshing methods were utilized to ensure accuracy of results obtained.
