Hello! I'm William Meldrum-Thush, a mechanical engineer at Roush Entertainment Systems. I graduated with a master's degree from the University of Florida in 2022. In October 2022 I passed my Principles of Engineering (PE) exam, and I intend to apply for my PE license in 2025 when I meet the engineering experience requirements. Through work, academic, and extracurricular experiences I have had the ability to participate in many incredible projects. This portfolio allows me to reflect on all my experiences and to share what I have learned with others.
Growing up in the Orlando area gave me an affinity for the themed entertainment industry. Through work experiences I have applied my knowledge to further improve rides and attractions for theme park guests. Being a member of the ASTM F24 group focused on creating and updating amusement ride safety standards has allowed me to positively impact the safety and well-being of theme park guests around the world. I look forward to future projects and experiences that will allow me to continue developing my skills in the industry!
